Our UnFROGetable® Mission
Our mission is creating tools to help empower children to develop positive behaviors with self-motivating skills. By combining fun and imagination, children are learning the importance of respecting themselves and others in school, at home and in the community.
Author/Illustrator • The UnFROGetable® Picture Books & Solution Circle
Having earned her degree from California College of the Arts, Marsha Strong-Smith is a graphic designer, watercolor instructor, author/illustrator and member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI). Marsha resides in Santa Cruz, CA where she writes and illustrates children’s picture books about “Hoppy Hollow” and the UnFROGetable characters that live, work and play there.
Marsha incorporates time-tested values in her children’s books. Tori Meredith asked her to create anti-bullying, conflict resolution tools for her elementary school using the characters in her books.
Elementary School Teacher • The UnFROGetable® Solution Circle
Tori is a national and California state award-winning 30+ year educator at the elementary school level. Throughout her career as a Special Education and Physical Education teacher, she has taught students to deal with and to overcome their physical challenges, emotional difficulties and behavioral problems that affect their lives.
In reviewing other behavior modification programs, Tori felt she needed one that was simple, fun and presented in an effective way to control conflict and bullying on the playground. Since Marsha incorporates positive models and examples in her picture books for children, Tori asked if she could help her with this project.
